Konami reveals release date for Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D for Europe and North America

Konami has revealed that Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D will launch on the 21st of February in North America and the 8th of March in Europe. You can check after the break for the final European box art.

    Glad to see that we U.S. 3DS owners are finally getting a game earlier than EU and JPN. And even though I have the HD version of this game already I will still be getting the 3DS version so that I can play MGS3 on the go.

    I still think Konami should improve the frame rate of the game though. it looks a bit slower than the PS2 and PS3 version of Snake Eater. That’s my only complaint I have about the 3DS version.

    I think nows a good time for U.S.A to get a demo for Snake Eater 3d then…am i right? I mean, North America has a release date for the actual game but not even any sort of conformation for a DEMO??? Its not like there isnt one Japan has the demo, why cant NOA give us North Amercian gamers a chance to try it!??? Its gunna boost sales and maybe even get people like me interested in buying the game, but NOOO apparently we arent important anymore! apparently all these Japaneese video game companys dont care about us anymore, were like the last thing on there to-do list, and im sick of being last, we didnt even get Monster Hunter Tri G! But the thing that really grinds my gears is that Nintendo promised us ddownloadable demos on the eshop with the last update but the only demo we even have some sort of conformation of getting is the one for resident evil revilations, but thats still only one game when there are like 5-6 demos in Japan right now, and another one on the way!!!

      @knightboy Dont you think having a demo that costs money would ruin the whole purpose of having a demo? Demos are free trials of games that give you a taste of the game to help get potential buyers to try the game and hopefully purchase it, if the demo was gunna cost money, it would be like charging money to watch a movie trailer.

    Hahahahaha, Coming out RIGHT before the Vita! The Vita is gonna hve the same dillema as it had in Japan with the release of MH 3G for 3DS. Poor Vita.

      But it’s not gonna be AS big as the relase of MH 3G because MG is famous in Japan, while MGS3 isn’t so big and famous here in the US, but will be popular and good enough to decide to buy a 3DS over a Vita. Remember the snake-skin bundles!

    the box art for this game would look great on a holographic case like the one for Super Street Fighter IV, because of all the bullets and stuff flying at you, the holographic cases are a nice touch especially since the games are for a 3d system, more games should have holographic box art. but the greenish camoflaughing colors fading into the solid black and white looks really nice, and Snake himself really stands out and the intimidating expression on his face really makes you want to play the game, some of the best box art on the 3ds so far…Im not trying to judge a game by its box art, im just saying(Metal Gear Solid doesnt need to be judged by its box-art any way, you already know its gunna be good!)

      I have to agree. I think that all the boxarts should have holographic 3D affect since the games are for a 3D system.

      I agree completely, it’s a nice touch.

      However the aftermath of what all that plastic will do to the environment kind of kills my joy.

    This is going to be the first shooter I’ve purchased in years. I used to play the original with my friend over weekends. Is it just a port? Either way, I’m getting it!

      This is actually a port of the origional on PS2. Only except with minor changes such as crouch-walk, over-the-shoulder aim, and hidden Yoshie.

      Pretty sure Kojima mentioned that the game was originally a port but then cancelled so they can remake the game from scratch.

      No photos or videos have been shown after that though so I’m not sure how much has changed if anything.

      They confirmed is a remake, so they rebuilt the entire game from the ground up instead of porting anything.

      You do know that there is a long video of the demo on youtube right? Watch the demo gameplay and then watch the original game’s gameplay.

      I don’t know where you’re from but here in America (Puerto Rico technically being a part of America) we’ve been getting the short end of the stick since around October.

      Europe got Xenoblade Chronicles last year but we still don’t have it, Europe got Tales of the Abyss but we still don’t have it, Europe got a capital E in it’s name but we don’t have it!

      Though if you live in South America, Australia, Pangea or Terraria I offer my most humble condolences.

    Also, is this a complete remake or just a port? Because there is no point in a port ’cause of the MGS HD Collection.

      ramake. it was originally a port but they decided to scrap that rebuild it from the ground up.

      You do know that MGS is a stealth action game driven by story and not an fps right? MGS is a gaming staple and has been favored by many gamers since it came out on the Nintendo consoles.
