As far as we’re aware, Kid Icarus: Uprising is coming out in North America and Japan this year. But according to a fact sheet from a recent event in the Netherlands, it won’t be arriving in Europe until Q1 2012. This lines up with previous reports and is definitely a shame. Then again, the game will be released in other regions late this year and then come out in Europe early next year, so the delay is not as massive as it seems.

You can click here to find Kid Icarus: Uprising on Amazon.

  • lizzie1238

If it doesn’t come out in NA this year, I will be REALLY mad!!!

    • Santiago

Why wouldn’t they? They are now localizing Xenoblade and last story to NA! :D

    • lizzie1238@hotmail

Pinch me, I must be dreaming!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
Europe has got nothing on us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • lizzie1238

Pinch me I must be dreaming!!!!!!! :D
      NA FTW

    • Raif

Guys thats a rumor it still hasnt been confirmed

    • Roy Lagendijk

Lizzie, really. We’re not enemies or whatever (european guy here.), why would we (or at least I) WANT to have anything on you anyway?

  • Aero53

    WHAT ABOUT AUSTRALIA?? 2012 TOO?

    • Robert

Yes. Australia is treated as EU

    • lizzie1238@hotmail

      Why???

    • lizzie1238

      Why?

  • Holonboy

I can’t wait for this game!

    • Tommy

I think might have to punch something…

  • Oath2Dario

This is what Europe gets for having Xenoblade lol

    • Roy Lagendijk

if I had anything to say about it, stuff’d get released equally everywhere, it’s not our fault y’know. :’)

  • TheUltimateKoopa

Well Q1 2012 is not as exciting as Q4 2011, as long as it’s not like the beginning of Q4 2011 for America and Japan and the end of Q1 2012 for us, because October 2011 to March 2012 would be just stupid, right? If it’s like November or December 2011 for Japan and/or America, and maybe January 2012 for Europe, that’d be OK.

    • Kaizar

It probably September or October Japan and October or Novenber for us in America, but I think it’s January for Europe for sure, like Jan 1 or 2 or 3rd at the latest, so Jan 3rd 2012 at the latest doesn’t seem bad.

  • Santiago

    They are localizing XENOBLADE!! :D

    • Andy

      proof, or it didn’t happen.

    • Santiago

      July 7, 2011

American localization of Xenoblade is complete, The Last Story is currently being translated to English for an American release, but there is no word on Pandora’s Tower localization. This information was disclosed to Operation Rainfall today from a source within Nintendo who wishes to remain anonymous. There is currently no indication of when Nintendo of America plans to formally announce these titles.

Last week Nintendo of America told its followers on Facebook and Twitter that it had no plans to bring Xenoblade, The Last Story, and Pandora’s tower to America “at this time.” Nintendo intentionally left open the possibility of release. Allegedly, the Redmond, WA branch has been working with other branches to bring Xenoblade and The Last Story to North America.

The NSTC version of Xenoblade was completed just over a month ago. Testing for the PAL and NSTC versions of The Last Story are allegedly beginning in around a month. There is currently no word on localization for an NSTC version of Pandora’s Tower.

Remember, this information was disclosed to Operation Rainfall in confidence. Until Nintendo of America makes an announcement there will be no official word of an NTSC release. However, this news has increased our hope for a North American release of these games. It could also explain why retailers like Amazon continue to have Xenoblade (Monado: Beginning of the World) listed on their website.

Make of this information what you will, but after much internal discussion Operation Rainfall believed it would be best to share this information with our followers. Consider this our announcement of a forthcoming announcement.

Help us keep the pressure on Nintendo, and hopefully we will get a formal announcement of Xenoblade, The Last Story, and Pandora’s Tower sooner rather than later.

    • Robert

      @Andy lmao

    • test

i read that pandora’s tower is confirmed for a 2012 release in europe… i guess i’ll just play it on my emulator, because i don’t even own a wii.

    • Nozizaki

Last Story IS coming to America? Sweet, the my Wii is going to live one month longer.

  • Alisha

I hope this isn’t the case, but if it is coming out next year… then at least i’ve got Super Mario and Mario Kart to look forward to getting for Christmas this year. It doesn’t bother me too much.

  • https://sites.google.com/site/hybrilynx/ David Hoyle

im surprised this was supposed to be the game thats all like nintendo 3ds. like how the gamecube or something was all super smash brothers. man i cant explain what im trying to say.

  • Han Solo

Pay back for Europe getting all the good stuff and dates lately. Cant wait for this game.

    • Bob

First of al,l I really think this “payback”-mentality and supposed rivalry between different regions is stupid and second of all, if anyone deserves this payback it’s us Europeans for all the shit we have been handed to us over the years and all the amazing games that never got here.

Oh and I will never forget the day I learned Japan had recieved a sequel to “Secret of Mana” and we didn’t. Japan has without a doubt the most unfair exclusives.

Final thing, we swedes didn’t get DoA: Dimensions apparently because some manga translator had broken our child pornography laws. Wtf? I don’t even understand how those things relate!

    • COLE TRAIN

      No…just no

    • Roy Lagendijk

Bob’s absolutely right. Except for japan, because it’s all made there, so obviously they get everything.

Also, wasn’t the DoAD thing about the picture-taking mode, and the fact that those girls in game are underaged or something? (not that I agree with them, I mean, they’re just polygons, if they were real girls, I’d agree with them.)

  • Manuel

Well that’s weird because nintendo games usually come out to days earlier in EU then NA.

    • KeigoNiwa

it’s probably just because the original Kid Icarus game was so popular here in america. And a sequel was in demand here in america too.

  • Kaizar

Good thing I’m in America which is the 139th most democratic country in the world and Mexico ranks 140th in democracy and Italy is #1 rank in the most democratic countries in the world and Cambolia is #4 and I’m 0% white, native american and all those other nationalities.

    • Alisha

What does that have to do with anything related to Kid Icarus exactly? :S

    • Kaizar

Because since I’m in America, I have the game come out this year instead of waiting till next year.

  • Shayn

Son of a bitch. >:0 Why do I have to be European :(

    • lizzie1238@hotmail

I’m surprised at the amount of Europeans on here. Like holy crap, I didn’t know there were so many!!!!!!!!!

    • egg

we are the europeans, and we are many!

  • Luigi

i love it when people in europe brag about how they are getting stuff early like legend of zelda ocarina of time by 2 DAYS and now we are getting kid icarus early in a WHOLE YEAR.

    • KidIcarus

Sums up my thoughts exactly xD

    • Nozizaki

Not a whole year, probably a full 3 or 4 months though. Nintendo will rush this game out as soon as it is finished. I’m thinking late October/early November for a US release.

    • Shayn

We don’t really brag, but considering that was hardly get anything before NA in the gaming world, when we do we hype it up. For the most part it’s usually America that’s doing the bragging.

Also, I don’t think it will be that much of a gap. I’m saying a Mid-Dec release for NA with an earlier release in JP, and EU will get it first 2 weeks of January.

    • COLE TRAIN

You’re an idiot. 3-4 months isn’t a whole year. Learn to count please. Like sam3ds said, I’m getting annoyed by you guys. America brags about this all the time anyways

    • Roy Lagendijk

Yeah, we’re not bragging, at least I’m not. At most, I’m happy stuff is coming here in the first place.

Besides, the only reason it was two days early is probably that stores aren’t open on sunday, and those people don’t want to lose their only free day of the week or something.

Who cares about 2 days anyways (not to be ungrateful), but stuff like months, or even a year (like Tales of Symphonia for Wii for example) does tend to get on my nerves when it happens for the so-manieth-time.

    • sam3ds

      @Cole Train
Thank you! Its good someone else is getting annoyed.

  • sam3ds

You know, I really hate this stupid rivalry over regions. Heaps of Americans keep saying ‘Oh Yeah, This is payback for something rather’ I really hate this. Americans get MUCH better resources than Australia’s. We got Oot on the 30th, and Only people (like me) which pre-ordered it at EB games got it a bit earlier. You have to take into consideration, who got Oot first? Who got the 3DS first? Come on, there is NOTHING in which Americans should be saying its payback for, except these three games which have been localised recently. Can you please stop saying its payback, and if not shoving it in our faces? Its actually very annoying. We had to wait till JULY to get the E3 trailers.

I’m sorry i’m a bit annoyed, just abit angry at the people who make fun and say its payback. If you weren’t a person that did this Iam not aiming this at you.

    • DaveBrzozo

Yeah but you guys get dingos :P

    • sam3ds

      XD

  • :(

    Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • Snowyday

    Dear Customer,

    Thank you for your email.

With regard to this title, unfortunately we do not currently have an announced release date. Release dates are typically announced on our official website, which can be visited at the following address:

    http://www.nintendo.co.uk

I’m sorry that we could not provide you with a specific release date at this stage, but hope you continue to look forward to this title.

  • Ap0c

O yes it is a massive delay. Europe has a lot of gamers, more than Japan.

I hate to wait like we are the least important part of the world.

    • lizzie1238@hotmail

      What if you are…

    • lizzie1238

      But you are…
      :P

    • Ap0c

And you probably the ignorant (pro) american.

    • lizzie1238

No, I’m not American. But why can’t everyone just be treated equally?!

    • Kaizar

We don’t need equal treatment but I wouldn’t mind if 2 weeks after anything comes out in Nihon(Japan), the same thing would come out in America Europe Australia and the rest of the world so why can’t they just give us a 2 week to 2 month gap from when they get it in Nihon (Japan) for all the other regions.

I wouldn’t mind that for all us people outside of Japan, but we Americans they get PilotWings Resort before Nihon(Japan), Europe and Australia, pretty cool huh; even though I’m not into the game but they’re selling it for $16 at Toys ‘R’ Us as well as many other 3DS games for $15.99.

    • OMG IT’S METALGEAR!

cuz people be ignorant of others.

    • lizzie1238

Either call it Japan or Nihon, make up your mind!

    • COLE TRAIN

      @Lizzie Then why say that?

    • Kaizar

Japan is the translation of the country’s actual name Nihon; because are fellow Americans are to dump to remember how to spell Nihon so Japan is just a white supremencise name but if I just say Nihon, no one will know what I’m talking about.

You can think of the word japan as Nihon’s slave name (like a African-American with a white name or a Jewish-American with a white name, because both blacks & Jews were slaves in america before the end of the civil war and even then there were still white devil slave masters owning black & Jewish slaves illegally; and both races were promise 40 acres and a mule).

    • lizzie1238

I know Nihon is Japan but you didnt have to put it in brackets after EVERY SINGLE TIME lol

  • http://yahoo.co.uk AlexChan23

God damn it I thought it was coming this year, know am really angry

  • COLE TRAIN

So where is this fact sheet?

  • Simple

This makes me feel better after Namco and One Piece(is typing on 3ds)

  • OJSlaughter

I’m not greatly excited for this game: If the UK and Europe have to get it later then, meh?
