Kid Icarus: Uprising in Europe and North America will also come with 6 AR cards

We reported that Kid Icarus: Uprising in Japan would be bundled with six, Kid Icarus-themed augmented reality cards, but it was unclear if other regions would receive the same bundle. Nintendo has confirmed, however, that the North American and European copies of the game will also include the cards. The cards can be used to see mock-battles between the game’s characters. There’s an example after the break.

    Have they mentioned how the rest of the cards will be distibuted? I know there are more than just six from previous trailers. It would be cool to collect them all, but I hope they wouldn’t become unnecessarily pricey. Otherwise people would just scan them online. :p

    So this game comes with a 3DS stand, AR cards, and Kid Icarus 3D (if you preorder in the US)- all for just $40. It’s nice they didn’t mark up the price above $40.

      They’re trying to revive an old Nintendo series, the best way to do so is by giving almost everything they’ve got so people will feel like the series itself will be worthwhile to have around.

      I say “almost” because usually developers hold back on the first game so that things could look much better for a sequel (for example Batman: AA, Mario Galaxy, Dissidia: Final Fantasy, and Uncharted).
