Masahiro Sakurai has tweeted that Kid Icarus: Uprising will be bundled with a stand for the 3DS. The stand is used to keep the screen steady and make it easier to use the touch screen. It was also revealed that the game will be bundled with six augmented reality cards. There is no word yet on whether other regions will have the same bundle. You can check after the break for some pictures of the stand in action.

I hope you guys do know that its packaged with the game I.e. its free. So stop saying its not worth it. It’s just Nintendo trying to please those 3DS owners who complained about hand cramps while playing FPS games on the DS. Which is bogus cuz my hand never once cramped up while playing Dementium. Although I can see how some people might have a problem with holding it. Also it may be good for other things like watching Netflix or making videos. Ok that’s my rant.

The circle pad pro won’t work like you think it does. Rather than give you two circle pads for control, it’s going to be used for lefties (right hand for movement, left hand on the touch screen). The developers felt that this method is easier than the traditional two stick controls.
It’s just a piece of plastic, not high technology. You will still be able to put your 3ds even with the circle pad onto it. And if it doesn’t fit, you can build your own stand. Really, look at it.
Get a piece of wood and lay one of the ends down on a rock, then put the 3DS on top of it.

I use 3D when I can, but If I’m in a tense moment where I just can’t keep it still, I’ll turn it off. I also turn it off on games that don’t need it, like VVVVVV or Mario Kart 7. This stand would make playing in 3D much easier.

Yes, I know that. I was just making a joke about how the Virtual Boy and the 3DS are similar systems, in that they both have 3D and now a stand. I don’t actually think that this is going to turn the 3DS into a Virtual Boy. (Especially since you actually need the stand to play the VB. In this case, you don’t.)

I’ve always seen this problem with the AR cards on the 3DS itself. If they ever want to release new ones, there would be no way for stores to just give them away, but at least one person who buys them would scan them and upload them to the internet. But if they only release them on the internet, then people without printers would be left out.

Yeah it is quite the milestone especially for a console in its first year. Nintendo originally expected to sell 16 million 3DS units between launch and March 2012, I think they will exceed that.

Some people still don’t get it, if you want to play the game, you DON’T have to use this, but playing it gets really uncomfortable after a few hours. Where are you when you are able to play for a few hours straight? (hint: not outside because 3DS’ battery isn’t so good) Yes, somewhere where you can charge your 3DS and that’s probably your home. There’s no need to take this anywhere else.
