Is Myst coming to the 3DS?

GameFly has listed Myst for the 3DS, suggesting that the game may be coming to the handheld. It’s could be a data entry mistake, but supposedly Maximum Family Games is publishing it, which wouldn’t be too strange.

      Its essentially an old school first person adventure game with no ‘action’ involved. Just a great deal of figuring out things but it does contain the pixel hunt of most adventure games.

      But the games have always had a genuine mysterious atmosphere and sense of discovery and mind bending puzzles(the number system comes to mind)

      The only way I’d be interested in Myst on 3DS tho is if it it was fully 3d(not still images u click on) and has made use of 3D and AR functions of the 3ds to introduce unique puzzles in the game.

      I remember playing this a bit when I was about 11 years old. If I recall correctly, it’s basically one big puzzle and there are no enemies, you’re basically looking for clues as to the past of your character or something.

      All I really do remember is an incredible fear for no apparent reason. An eternally empty world devoid of life might do that to you!

      Anyway I heard it had also come out for DS, so it wouldn’t be much of a surprise to see the true game appear after all this time.

    i dont know what this is, but making that block game on the 3ds would be nice. i forgot what that block game was actually called though. the online block building game thing.

      Without a doubt his description of this game fits Uncharted perfectly.

      In all honesty I think Minecraft 3D would definitely be possible, online servers holding +300 people per map though…

    I would prefer one of Myst sequel. “Riven” would be excellent, or “Exile”. Graphics are better and would be awesome in 3D. Fav games.

      It might have to be. If they want it to be 3, they’d either have to re render all the pre rendered screens, or just have the actual game running in real time on the 3DS, i.e. Real Myst.

    i really doubt myst will come to the 3ds. it was released on the ds and the psp some years ago.

      I don’t know, it probably will be Myst though. Here’s the real question though: How will they make the old original pre-rendered shots to 3D. Unless they can re-render stereo shots, I can only imagine this being handled in a painful way. I would love for them to surprise me. Cyan Worlds has done nothing noteworthy since Riven IMO.

    Enough with the remakes, this is a lowest gaming gen yet, not only for 3DS but for all consoles.

    Get some creativity out there and make a good game, Super mario Land 3D is the only creative 3DS game that isn’t a remake lol…

    Only 3 games for the Month of Nov for me for 3DS, Ace combat, mario and sonic. Dec is mario kart.

    Anything else goes under the rug!

    if it’s original myst this is a truly retarded idea. it’s already on ds, and putting the main screen on top instead of on the touch screen would ruin the point of having it on a ds system anyways and make it even harder to play (as if it isn’t hard enough lol). so it would be just like the ds version except with less compressed graphics, which would hardly make any difference anyways.

    I loved this Myst, but I’d much prefer Myst III: Exile to come out for 3DS. If they somehow managed to get a whole bundle of multiple Myst games in one cart, that would be amazing, but I remember that Myst III took 3 or 4 CD-ROMs to install, and a DVD when they redid it… but after sizing everything down for the 3DS’s screen, you could probably fit it on the carts.
