Heroes of Ruin delayed in North America

Heroes of Ruin was scheduled for release in North America on June 26th. n-Space has revealed, however, the game has been delayed until July 17th. The game will launch on its scheduled date of June 15th in Europe.

    Saw that date in GameStop a week ago. Figured that’d already been said. It really sucks, because I already have enough to buy in July. x_x I swear, if Luigi’s, Paper, or AC get confirmed for July (doubtful, but you never know) my wallet will explode into flames.

    More than a month head start and we lose DLC Valor points for daily and weekly’s.. Seems rather unfair but they will hopefully extend the time for the free DLC.. still gives players a 30 day advantage for a very multiplayer focused game is not a great decision.. I wonder what the hold up was.. I mean it does make some sense in that they are in Europe but it’s rarely more than a week difference.. a month is just too much.. I’m a little irritated by this also.. but it will come. I can’t wait, it still looks fantastic.

      Because there are other games I want to play too? It doesn’t look that stellar- if it looked awesome (like Bioshock: Infinite) then I wouldn’t mind it getting delayed. But this just looks like your typical, run-of-the-mill dungeon crawler.

      there is no excuse for bad games in this era for the price tag of 40-60 american dollars we should be getting high quality stuff instead the companies are either screwing us over with dlc the game itself or taking the capcom route and screwing you over for each game u buy in multiple ways either make a game that has no game breaking issue or ruins content or gtfo out of the gaming industry enough of this crap

    July 17th has been listed on pretty much every site for a while now. They haven’t mentioned anything officially until yesterday. That’s bullshit. The game is done, it has been delayed enough just give us the god damn game.

      No offence everybody, but that’s just pure idiocy. You were interested in the game and waited for the release date, it got delayed and suddenly you lost interest, this pretty much explains why I said it’s idiotic.

      ^Thank you, some people are just angry and don’t know how to express it, I guess. Seems stupid to nat want a game because it keeps getting delayed… if anything, delays will allow the devs to make the game better, so… yeah.

      I’m surprised anyone was interested in the first place. It looks awful.

      By the time this is out, there will be much better stuff on the horizon that’s genuinely worth getting excited about. People will see HoR on shelves but no one will care.

      Well its the same for most games actually, just because it’s idiotic to you, that doesn’t reflect others.

      Take Silent Hill Vita, I was definately interested in it, but now it’s delayed to Oct 2012…when a lot of games come out and frankly why buy it then?

      Same goes for this.

      I was really excited to buy it back in Feb when it was set to release, then I believe march…now…I have Tales of the Abyss, Disgaea 3, Resistance Burning Skis and in June Gravity Rush and MGS HD collection, and maybe (LBP)…then come august Mario…

      With all these delays, I’m not angry at the company or just angry in general, but for me it’s coming at a time where I ahve enough games.

      So = No purchase from me = no interest.

      Now tell me the logic in me being an idiot. Maybe you look at ppl less like fanboys and insult and more as economical.

      Delays will allow the devs to make a game better? Refer to MGS 3D…

      Roller Coaster Tycoon, another delayed game that lost my interest..but to be fair not because of the delay but because of impressions.

      Losing interest in a game because of delays shows how impatient you are. However, I think if the game turns out to be great you’d come back to it anyway. That’s how it usually is, to be honest. Luigi’s Mansion 2 already looks great and no matter how much it gets delayed, I’m still getting it.

      Luigi’s is a timeless classic, I feel the same, but this game was always a hit or miss for me.

      But this game is coming out during thr summer. There aren’t going to be any big releases during the summer so I don’t see what other big games you could be playing during that time on the 3ds.

      Delayed games aren’t always great. If that were true, Duke Nukem Forever would be the greatest game of all time. Was stuck in development limbo for years.

      Also, it really depends on the game. There are some games that look interesting, some that you’ll definitely buy, and others that don’t really appeal to you/just look kind of boring. This game is between interesting and boring to me.

      Skyward Sword getting delayed wasn’t a big deal, because I was definitely going to buy it. Plus, this has been delayed four times now, and being an average looking game- just kinda meh about it now.

      I don’t know if I would call two games as set for the summer, and it’s unlikely that any games announced at e3 will actually come out in the summer. Then again I dot know the vita lineup so I don’t know how many games you’re gonna get for that so maybe you are set.

      I dunno. We’d been waiting for a Kid Icarus sequel for over 15 years. Besides, it’s not like Heroes of Ruin has been delayed for a year. Just one more month. We can handle it. Smash Bros. Brawl was the same way.

      i am playing on buying this though but im not sure with mario comin in aug.

      PS some ppl are actually trying to cut down on how many games they buy to save som dam money my wallet took a huge hit recently so im on lock mode only buying must have games

      I think it’s important to remind everyone that every single person has some level of impatience, but the thing is about it is that this game was only delayed twice. That being said, the hype CAN go down but the interest doesn’t have to. The only reason people would be feeling the way they do is because they don’t have much else to do and that n-Space created a lot of hype to begin with.

      I agree with Theo guys money is tough for some people and when games run close to each other the ” well known ones” willl be bought more since we already know we will love it. However new IPs / Games need to come out when they are suppose otherwise the hype/ interest will go away . I for one am just going to get Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance / rather then Heros of Ruin. But i agree with some others maybe ill come back for it when i have time or if it gets cheaper just to try it out.

      How can delaying it make the game better when it’s essentially done? I could understand that reasoning if it was being delayed everywhere but that isn’t the case. EU is still getting it a month earlier.

    That is rather annoying. Heroes of Ruin is my most anticipated 3DS game in the last 6 months. I’ve been feeling a real games drought on this and the Vita.

    As long as they’re polishing it up with bugfixes, that would be acceptable reason for a delay.

      The game doesn’t have terrible framerate. You really don’t know what you’re talking about. The framerate issue is that it isn’t ideal, I think the framerate is fine. It COULD be better.

      Take mgs peace walker, that frame rate was really low for me….yet for others it was fine.

      I eventually got use to it, because there were no drops.

      Do we want another mgs 3D? No…that game doesn’t deserve any score over 6, not only does it run 20 fps like the PSP but it dips to 10s and 15s frequently:(

      So let’s hope this game has the best possible frame…I highly doubt they delayed it to fix it though.

      Heroes of Ruin looks like it’s around 30 FPS more or less and I haven’t seen any dips in the framerate. That isn’t at all “terrible.” 30 FPS used to be the standard.

      Wth are you guys taYou kids realy need to get your feet on the ground. 30 FPS is bad? In what planet? We have a couple of games running at 60fps, it’s awesome but that didnt make them top sellers. Besides, you guys forget that people in Europe learn English in school, not American English, Square had a hard time with you guys in the past because of the use of UK english in a game, and now you shout with them because they have to work more on a game and do things like one more translation. Lol.

      60 fps is the ideal frame rate for any game.

      Movies and TV run at 30 fps usually to keep your eyes much more concentrated on what is going on…in other words letting ur eyes fill in the blanks.

      The higher the frame rate the better the controller response.

      30 fps is absolute bare minimum imo. Ideally you want between 40-60 fps.

      Yes it’s not a game breaker, not by any means, but lets not start talking standard…I mean having a Beeper use to be standard, now we evolved and have cell phones…let’s not go back to beepers!

      This is why I buy most retail games on pc:) 60+ fps constant in 99% of games:)

      I think its the screen shots… but the environment and character design when compared to other games on the 3ds looks kinda dull and rough. The 3ds should be able to handle producing a cleaner environment so thats why it doesnt look as well to me i guess. but its not horrible … just could look better and i kinda wish they had more classes/ character designs

    I haven’t really payed much attention to this game. I’m more interested in other games like Animal Crossing, Luigi’s Mansion 2, Rayman Origin, Paper Mario, and New Super Mario Bros. 2.

    But onto what I was going to say. I feel for you people who where looking foward to the game. But it will be out soon enough. Just look at uprising. It was delayed and it turned out to be my favorite game of all time.

    I don’t get the arguments that “sometimes delays can be good”. It’s not delayed everywhere. EU is still getting it in June so the game is done. If it were delayed everywhere, I could understand that argument but it’s not the case here.

    I’m upset about the delay but I will still be getting this when it comes out. I’m kind of bored with the games I have now, including Kid Icarus.
