GBA titles for the Ambassador Program now available in Europe and North America

The Game Boy Advance games from the Ambassador Program are now available for download for Europe and they also seem to be trickling into North America. If you don’t see them, be patient. They may take time to appear on your eShop.

I just used the “Download Later” feature. Since up to 10 items can be download with this while it’s in sleep mode, I will leave it there for the rest of the night. I should have the games ready to play tomorrow.

I started the “download later” option on every game except Fire emblem. No space left on the sd card. Would be nice to have the possibility to get an actual empty game card and safe all the ambassador games on that one. Or can I just copy all my data from the old sd card (including firmware, music, games, and the other standard programs) on a new bigger sd card. because I really don’t want to switch the sd card all the time.

Yeah it works just copy all from your sd card to another, it worked for me when i got my 16gb sandisc. an technically the firmware is on the 3ds own memory

It’s hidden on the Account > Your Downloads. But it’s there. I guess they do this and wait a while to announce so us hardcore fans get it first and they don’t get their networks overloaded.

I am quite surprised at the size of some of those games, around 40 blocks or so…

My old 3DS got stolen, but Nintendo offered to let me get the Ambassador Program on my new one. I got a Zelda 25th Anniversary 3DS, and called up Customer Service, and the Ambassador program games won’t be available for me until Tuesday, but they come out for everyone else on the first day of my Winter Vacation.

…I hate first world problems.

3: Find the GBA games (if they’re there), then “Redownload.” You can figure out the rest from there

I’m an Ambassor and I think that won’t be good because we spent more money with the original price of the 3DS, more chances just won’t be fair to us and we’ll lose money if you see it thast way and wher’e our investment? Why to be an ambassor in the first place if no extra reward like this exists for us?? Then we could have paid more for nothing…

But yes, there is going to be a little skepticism on how fair this Ambassador program is. Perhaps Nintendo could eschew in a special membership program which can unlock free games once a month? No more than three freeware games a month?

Been playing micro games since i downloaded, its quite unique yet VERY, and i mean VERY, addictive. I also loved fire emblem the first time i played it, and metroid fusion was a must have back in the gameboy Advance era. I’ve played about 6 of this before, but hey! Never touched minish cap before! This is great, we should thank nintendo for picking above-average GBA games to give for free!!

Finally got them, my 3DS home menu now looks pretty good with 21 free games on it. Im enjoying Metroid Fusion the most out of the ones I’ve played.

I hope these games do not become avaliable to the public. I know it sounds bad but it will make paying that extra sum of money for my 3DS a little more bearable.

They should implement a voting system that uses play-coins to determine which future GBA games they should release on the 3DS VC. Make it a good number of playcoins so they’ll know people really want a particular game.

Apparently the games are never gonna be available for anyone that isn’t a ambassador. I think that’s bullshit. They wanna make money so they may as well sell them to those who wants them. :/ But nooo. I mean why not? I’d gladly pay for some of those games.

They currently have no plans to release them to the general public. Which means I’ll bet they will get around to it. But not quickly.

And why not is because the 3DS had a false start and they threw the early adopters a bone for the 80-USD disparity between launch price and and the new price.

As long as these GBA games stay EXCLUSIVE to ambassadors for at least 2 or 3 years, I’ll be fine if they eventually sell these 10 GBA games on the eSHOP. after all ambassadors have the ‘Ambassador Certificate’ to prove we got them for paying full price for the 3DS. also, im hoping they do bring GBA games to the eSHOP by the end of 2012

Nobody knew there was gonna be free games, get off the high horse already. There’s nothing wrong with putting them for sale NOW for about 800 or 1000 points whatever just like the games on the Wii that you can download. Why should they be exclusive if selling them can help Nintendo with funds for NEW games? Think about it.

i noticed when my 95 downloaded titles changed to 105. plus no f-zero multiplayer games or even that yoshi one is stupid. so what is nintendo going to do now to make ambassadors feel like $250 was worth it? also i remember something about downloading the NES ‘final versions’ or something like ‘updating the full versions later’ or something. anyone knows when or what thats about? it was months ago and the year is almost over.

If you don’t feel like you’ve been compensated enough, then Arceus help you. Nintendo didn’t *have* to give you anything. They *chose* to because they wanted to be fair. A lot of companies just do it for money and don’t bother with the fans… Be grateful they’ve even considered trying to compensate people. Anyway, if they didn’t lower the price of the 3DS (even if the original price in most places was closer the the original price, so they’re running at a loss) Nintendo may have been in a position to disband by 2012. These games aren’t meant to be made for 3DS, they’re emulations of the original games – You’re the one who has high expectations, they never promised any enhanced capabilities. You have to dig through so many menus. It’s like Nintendo doesn’t want us to have them. The “Download Later” option makes it marginally easier, but seriously.

They have no choice… The only other way is to upload them to the e-shop where everyone has access to them. Putting them into your downloads, based on your spotpass for it being on is the only way.

I’m an Ambassador, and I have to agree with you. I’ve seen some really ugly attitudes about the whole situation, both here and on Nintendo’s FB page. It really pisses me off to see people whining and demanding and overall just acting self-entitled, like Nintendo owes it to them to give them these free games and if anyone else gets them, it’ll be less special. You know what, I’m an Ambassador, and I don’t give a flying French poodle if they release the games to the general public. They could do it tomorrow and I wouldn’t care. I got them for free, and everyone else can have them too; they just have to buy them. No harm no foul, I say.
