Footage (and screenshots) from Beyond the Labyrinth

There are new screenshots from Beyond the Labyrinth that show off battle scenes, environments and the newly revealed Mystery Room, along with gameplay footage of a battle. It’s all out after the break.

      Need to see my own damn characters…I hate games where I and my team are letters and numbers.

      Like it changes the game whether or not you can see your characters in an RPG. Mother didn’t show characters during battle, and that game was AMAZING. Besides this game has the “protect the damsel” feel to it. Reminds me a little of the wisp from Knights in the Knightmare. And unseen hero :D

      I totally agree. This game looks like it’s about her. Not her guardians. Give me more and I hope this comes to NA!

    This is gameplay of a JRPG; not a trailer of a JRPG. Of course a glimpse of a battle will seem underwhelming.

    I would bet any amount of money that the composer of this game is Yoko Shimomura, just going by this one trailer. And that is FAR more than OK with with me.

      It’ll be either Yoko or even more likely Motoi Sakuraba. He and Tri-Ace are thick as thieves.

      Special edition of the game coming out. In Japan only? Who knows. It comes with an AR calender, a cloth [yeah you heard right, a cloth lol], a 25 track soundtrack [I know I said 24 before, might be a typo on the site] and a poster. I hope it makes it to Europe! It will definitely be available on Konami Style though.

      Just listened to the music on the link and yup, that’s 100% Motoi Sakuraba. I just had a flashback to Valkyrie Profile 2. Even more reason for me to like this game.

    I haven’t read much about this game, but from what I know, the other characters are like spirits. Watching this trailer, it seems that those spirits are trying to get to some place, but they need the help of that girl, which they would need to protect. I actually want to play this game.

    This game looks very interesting and good title for this game too. I really hope this game coming to EUR and this game needs more videos on YouTube. Amazing JRPG game for 3DS. Thanks Konami and please make Castlevania on 3DS and you will make my happy. I have a felling Castlevania coming to 3DS next year but just a felling.

    Man, this is a throwback to some Japanese role-playing games I played in the old days, some where you didn’t always see the main characters fight the enemies, like Final Fantasy Legend II (on Game Boy) and EarthBound.

    Though, the battle engine itself looks a little bit under-developed and I find the girl’s animation during the battle a little awkward, but at least it’s got pretty visuals going for it. I’ll keep my eye on it, anyways.
