LOL, I already went thru that and more, but in 3D.
And this game is in 7.1 Surround Sound.
But Mighty Switch Force seems to be in Stereo, at least from what I have heard with my “PLANTRONICS GAMECOM 777″ Headphones.
I was surprise how good the 7.1 Surround Sound was in this game, because it’s a Side-Scroller, but it still has plenty of good uses of it, for this kind of gameplay.
Okay, this video will be the deciding factor in my purchase of this game. I was afraid it would be too repetitive or be mostly made up of gameplay I can easily find elsewhere for cheaper. With only 40 levels, this game will be over rather quickly, and I need to know if it’s worth my time.
Verdict: Nope. Was hoping to see more diversity in the level design, so it doesn’t feel like I’m playing the same thing over and over. The music was good, though. It made me want to play Pokemon more than it made me want to play Mutant Mudds, though.
Also reminded me that the same company made the Dementium games, 2 of my favorites of the many, MANY DS games I’ve played.
So the levels DO change up, visually, from time to time. And if I paid $40 for Mario 3D Land, which had about the same number of levels, I can shell out $9 for this.
Mayker, if you like platformers then you will like this game. Simple. The true nature of a good game is not the bells and whistles but the strategy and learning a level , becoming intimate with the level , discovering its hidden secrets. Repeating a level with different strategies in mind makes the level work on many ‘levels’ . So in the end how you relate to the game becomes an integrated and valid part of the experience. The game resonates on a personal level. Old school platformers have that personal connection with the gamer. Dark souls and demon souls have that same intimate connection with the gamer and works like an old school platformer but they also have the modern bells and whistles…. Mutant mudds looks to be very much that type of intimate personal hamming experience. Ant
uhga buga
@Mayker
aww man i’v been looking at videos for dementium 1, and 2 they look really cool been trying to find but no luck =( this game is very solid and renegade kid is now on my radar when searching for games.
Maybe a demetium 3DS game will be made i’ll pick tht up day 1!
Those “bells and whistles,” as you call them are important gameplay features. They are what seperates each game from another, what makes a game unique, and in the end it gives a reason for people to buy it. Without those “bells and whistles,” every platforming game ever is just Super Mario Bros on the NES. As fun as it was, I don’t want to be spending hundreds of dollars buying a bunch of the same game.
While you may be able to get intimate and personal with any platforming game thrown your way, I require something else, something that “grabs” me. I do, very much, like the platforming genre, but I also hate, very much, buying terrible games. The Petz series has all the features of a pet care game, but why is it that Nintendogs is so appealing, while Petz is an experience I would compare to pounding rusty nails into my crotch? Because they are terrible games.
When is the Australian release? All this news about mutant mudds and oz estore gets balloon kid – kinda lame. The rest of the world is enjoying their 3ds – why isn’t there any news on the oz release dates??? Mutant mudds looks good and I’m hyped- and I can’t download it? Australians play games too right? Or sm I the only one? Ant

I feel your pain….I don’t want Balloon Kid… I WANT MUTANT MUDDS!!!! (And, yes I am australian and I play games too :)
@sam3ds Kid icarus is a promotion . go club nintendo sign up and register 2 games on their list – then theres a banner/bit vague to click on to enter email. I just did it, but not sure how!? and now waiting for code to be sent to email. cheers and good luck! Ant
Reminds me a bit of the old Commander Keen games, ah good time. Looking forward to this

This game is actually a lot of fun, and it’s hard, unlike a certian game (coughcoughSuperMario3DLandcough)! Haha I reccomend this to anyone who likes old school games and/or a good challenge.
djnforce9
I’m having a lot of fun with this game. It is difficult as it’s going for an old school feel. The usage of the 3D effects is also very well implemented although you can’t really get the true experience from this video alone.
Bewoulf2000
I got this game right when the eshop updated. Love it. It’s great. And yes there are only 40 levels and all, but look at the original mario. Only 32 compared to this 40. And I think it’s totally worth the money. Buy it.
3DSNINJA!!
I have ten bucks left on my eShop money, should I get this?
@ElectronIcant Also, idk what Demons Souls game you played, but mine was a very generic, limited RPG- not a platformer at all. In fact, you couldn’t even jump at all.
@uhga buga Renegade Kid wants to make Dementium 3DS, but they need the publisher, SouthPeak Interactive, on their side to make that happen. If you want to voice your support for Dementiium 3DS, send an email to SouthPeak at: http://www.southpeakgames.com/company/contact
they will release it…. eventually i’m sure..and when , know one seems to know – thats the problem. I don’t mind waiting for a release when the date is advertised…. but not knowing, that is ballz up.
Nice! I really want this game…
Me too! By the way, the soundtrack in this game is amazing!
Ha. You spelled Jacob wrong.
