Awesome. I just pre-ordered Super Mario 3D Land last month, didn’t think that they were gonna give away a free Mario Keychain. Also, not sure if I want to get the strategy guide, I think I’ll find every secret exits & gold coins on my own without it.
If the guide is free, buy it. Otherwise just wait 4 days and look at the obviously rushed IGN 100% game guides (which still serve it’s purpose).
Off-note I once played Super Mario 64 DS completely using only Yoshi (with or without hats). It was my first and only DS game for about a year so I had to make up interesting things, like playing tag with friends instead of getting stars in multiplayer.
I sort of hope there will be a way to replicate the good times I had back then. At least a nice 2 player mode as from what I hear it’s only single player!
I never watch IGN game guides, except that one time on Super Mario Galaxy 2 with a few green stars. Everything else from that game, I found out where the comet medals are on my own. Also, I had New Super Mario Bros. I needed 5 gold coins left, so I had no choice but to see some videos. As I said before, I’ll find every gold coin and secret exits on my own.
20 year old & still a Mario gamer since Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt (first video game ever played on an NES console)
^Super Mario 64 was an awesome remake. It could had more stages for multiplayer, but for what it was, it was phenominal. With 30 more stars (technically more than that because one of the missions in bomb land was replaced by silver stars- the one where you open the orange box on the floating island in the original) and 4 playable characters, it was like a whole new game.
I question though, you’re not allowed to fight bowser with yoshi and yoshi has no attack power (so certain stars and worlds like the ghost house are unreachable to him). So how did you beat it only playing yoshi?
It was the first DS game to come out if I recall, so a lot of glitches were to be expected. I had used a glitch I found from that level with the sunken ship that you can raise that allows Yoshi to keep his hat even in the overworld, only until he gets hit though.
Oh man, I loved Super Mario 64 DS. I beat the game 100% several times.
One of the hardest stars for me to get was the one that involved “Blastng away the wall”.
It was easy once I realized that there’s a piece of a wall that looks as if it’s removable.
Super Mario 64 DS is a good game, but it wasn’t that good of a remake. Don’t get me wrong, collecting 150 stars made the game a little longer than the original, but I prefer the classic Super Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64. I remember playing that game when I was 6, awesome game. Out of all the Mario games I’ve played, Super Mario 64 (Nintendo 64) is my all time favorite Mario game.

They could have done something better. Like maybe do a thing like Ocarina of Time 3D and make a limited time thing where you register it on Club Nintendo and then get an OST from them.
I don’t think GameStop is affiliated closely enough with Nintendo to do something with Club Nintendo.
I was too little, too late for that soundtrack. However, you can find it easily online.

Like I said, it wouldn’t hurt to add all of them because you can delete them later. I believe most of the people on it only check this blog every week to a few days. That’s probably why most of them haven’t done anything yet.
But that’s the genious of it, you have them and if they don’t add you then you can always delete them. So give it a week or two, then delete.

I may have missed you, I’ll put you in now. The reason why, is because I write all the friend codes down on paper, then type them. This is because most of the time my 3DS is not near a free internet source to input FCs online.

It’s official, I will not pre-order a game from Gamestop again. I was upset that they didn’t have a midnight release for Ocarina of Time 3ds and now they say there will be no midnight release for Super Mario 3d Land or even SKYWARD SWORD! Just go to Walmart for games. They usually have plenty of stock at midnight when a new game comes out!
