First look at Rayman Origins on the 3DS, to be released in 2012

The latest issue of Nintendo Power magazine revealed that *Rayman Origins* is coming to the 3DS. And now, thanks to Aneudi, a wondrous reader of this blog, we have the first screenshots from the game. We also have the confirmation that it will *not* be available this year. Michael Ancel of Ubisoft had this to say:

> I am excited to make a game that takes the Nintendo 3DS features into account. That’s something that takes a lot of time, but that’s what every game should do for this kind of system. I’m excited about Rayman Origins on the Nintendo 3DS!

It’s an amusing sentiment considering Ubisoft already released a bunch of games for the system that took little advantage of what it’s capable of. Still, I’m keen for *Rayman Origins*, so I’ll let the inconsistency slide.

      No actually it isn’t there is a psVita version comming to so that’s gonna be 2012 too! (i’m a huge rayman fan btw)

    Looks good it’s just blurry but that’s because of it being a scan. I’ve got a feeling this will look near on par with the PS3 and 360 versions.

    Sorry for the bad quality. I had to use my 3ds camera, since I lost my hd cam. The rayman on the upper left corner of the picture may represent the game life bar, and the game may not include co-op , since the picture only shows rayman without his friends, but who knows, since the 3ds version is not fully completed :) I uploaded 3 more new pcture, here is the link: http://s1132.photobucket.com/albums/m565/Aneudi2012/Rayman%20Origins%203DS/
