Fire Emblem: Awakening sells really well in Japan (and there’s fifteen minutes of footage)

Fire Emblem: Awakening launched last week in Japan and, according to info from Media Create in Japan, the game outsold all the other games in the top twenty charts combined, and managed to sell through 81.63% of its initial shipment. The high sales of the game have also made it one of the most successful launches in the history of the Fire Emblem franchise. There’s new footage after the break.

      You bet. IIRC it sold around 240k, and the next one on the list sold only around 19-20k.

    Now if only we can get to see 15 minutes of Luigi’s mansion, AC3DS, Mario Tennis: Open, or Heroes of Ruin. But Nintendo knows how to make us wait — for Luigi’s Mansion, mario tennis: open, and AC3DS, of course.

      I’m here for Fire Emblem. Those games will get their spotlight whenever they release, for now just give a little attention to this great game from a series that’s finally getting the love it deserves.

      I’m not much of a sports fan when it comes to games, but Mario Tennis Open is the first actual sports title that Nintendo has ever made (besides Wave Race) that I am looking forward to.

      However, Mario Tennis Open doesn’t even come close to gracing the same spotlight as Fire Emblem: Awakening.

      It’s still great to see both of the series getting the attention they deserve. Let’s hope that Midnight Purple 3DS comes out on May 20th like GameStop and Sam’s Club are listing in North America.

      I never compared. I just stated that I strive to see some more footage out of these games, as we have seen enough from Fire Emblem. Don’t comment if your comment is impertinent.

    Omg the agony of waiting to get it here… I’m glad people finally gives this game the respect it deserves and I’m sure it’s because of Marth being in it but oh well :).

    on the funny side in some scenes with girls they sound like they are having orgasm :) sound cute and sexy like 8:50 hehe
