Face Kart: Photo Finish to be revealed at E3 2011

It was revealed a while back that Renegade Kid was working on *Face Kart: Photo Finish*, a downloadable title for the 3DS that would allow players to attach their faces to racers, and then speed around a bunch of tracks in a Mario Kart-style game (but with more tweaking involved). It’s a concept that made me raise an eyebrow as it sounds like it could be a cash grab, but Renegade Kid are quite well-respected in the industry, which is why I’ll be holding off on total apprehension. But either way, Jools Watsham of Renegade Kid has confirmed that we’ll see more of the game at E3 2011. If you’re interested in a kart racer, be patient.

    wouldnt you see the back of your head, since its a racing game?

      You could see their faces and gestures during replays.

      I guess, but would be kind of odd for it to be used only for that purpose as an extra-ish and still be worthy enough to be in the title

      They could have all the kart drivers face backwards…

      Or they could have them drive backwards…

      But seriously they could be looking out the side of the kart facing the player and giving them a “thumbs up”

      Or they could put a picture of your face on the back of the kart…

      They could have you racing on the top screen as normal and on the bottom screen show a front view. Problem solve. I fixed the internets. I win.

    Who knows, coming from Renegade Kid I expect it’ll be a great game. But for now I’m skeptical, especially since it’s a downloadable title, in its content.

    Hey David you should also put something up about Renegade Kids’s other game for the 3DS, “Pet Zombies”. I think it looks a whole lot more interesting :P

      btw they’e known for horror shooters and racing games… interesting combination… but the graphics you find in their games are absolutely outstanding.

    Well now that I know its a download title I’m more open to it. Hopefully this will turn out to be good. Not too excited right now…

    I wonder if this would be any good cause I really like Mario Kart and this seems alot like it.
