Even more details about Kingdom Hearts 3D from the Tokyo Game Show

1up reports that in Kingdom Hearts 3D, Sora and Riku have two pet companions throughout the game. One of Sora’s companion’s is described as being panda-like in nature while the other one is more small and squirrel-like. Riku’s companion’s, on the other hand, resemble a unicorn and a bat. There are also some details on the gameplay that will be in the game.

Beyond that, the gameplay is said to be like that of Birth by Sleep in that you have certain skills that need to recharge once they are used. There are also some attacks that can be performed with the companions known as Dual Links that are activated by using the Y button.

The game also has a feature known as the Holy Ropes which are nodes placed around the battlefield. If one presses the A or X button near the nodes they activate a sequence that allows them to draw a path on the touch screen that will send Sora or Riku flying through the air along the drawn path. The Holy Ropes attack can be used to get enemies that are otherwise out of reach.

      Really KH:BSB made me want to buy a psp to *¬*, and its not bad idea, psp have nasty games.

      I’d have to guess it’s before 2, when Sora is in a coma or something. It’s all confusing to me at this point.

      Coded and this actually take place at almost the same time, I’m pretty sure. This is with Yen Sid tmk and Coded was with Mickey Mouse.

    ahhhh! now im hoping they include more new guest in the square series (chrono trigger perhaps?)

    do you guys think you need to play the ds kingdom of hearts and birth by sleep to make sense with this game cause i only own kingdom of hearts 1+2 and The GBA version of kindom of hearts chain of memories

      I don’t think it’s necessary, but you might want to wiki them or something (if you don’t want to/can’t buy the games), just to get all the tiny plot bits added in the other games.
