eShop cards now available in the UK

Folks in the UK can now pick up eShop cards at both Sainsbury’s and ASDA stores. This means that if you lack a credit card you’ll still be able to pick up goodies via the Virtual Console, 3DSWare and DSiWare.

    The shop titles are still all in euros?

    Unless they are changing it. In that case it better not be €1 to £1 god dammit!

      Canada isn’t considered America, unless you mean North America, in which case every where it should be available to purchase (Excluding Canada).

    Am I the only person bothered by the fact that you can only add money in set increments? I don’t like having money just sitting in the account.

      Yeah I had hoped that it would let you put what you want into your “shopping cart” and then at checkout it would tell you the total price and you could charge it directly to your credit card. The way they have it now; they might as well have kept wii/DSi points on the 3DS.

      If you use your card on the eshop (yes, it’s safe and saves no data) then you can manually choose how much you put on.

      I love bestbuy, since I can always find what I’m looking for there. Also, they sell the powerpack plus for $20 instead of $30, good deals to save the 3DS’ playtime.

      I asked EB yesterday, they said mid next month would be Australia’s turn to get cards.

      Of course, they also said the start of this month.

      And the end of June…

    Need eShop cards in Canada! I bought a 3DS early but I can’t download the games from their digital download service. I feel like they just dont care enough about their ambassadors…

    I e-mailed Nintendo about the arrival of the cards in Canada, and they basically said that they don’t know when they’re gonna be released. Fan-frigging tastic. I really don’t want to use my parent’s credit cards, and I really want to play Link’s Awakening. This is frigging annoying.

    I’m in Ireland and I got 2 eShop cards (actually they were usable on Wii, Dsi and 3ds) over a week ago in gamestop.

    bought a 15 pound one today, and I bought spirit avenger I think its called which I regret since it absolute crap and The Legend of Zelda Link’s awakening( and now I have 6.40 left, any suggestions on what else to buy?), and I haven’t played a zelda game in 3 years and I’m already stuck. When you find the sword and the owl tells you to meet him in the forrest, what do you do in the forrest, I’m in there now, please help me out :S

    What now the UK gets them but still not Canada?! That’s f***ing retarded!!!

    Also, since I’m in the US right now, if I buy a card here will it work on my Canadian 3DS???
