The Nintendo 3DS is receiving a huge price drop from August 12th onwards. But, if you’ve already purchased a 3DS or don’t want to wait for the price drop, then don’t worry, you’re not losing out on the goodness. Early adopters will be able to download a total of twenty games from the Virtual Console service for free.
These freebies are split between the NES and the Game Boy Advance. Meaning, you’ll be able to download ten NES games and ten Game Boy Advance games. And yes, this also confirms that Game Boy Advance games are coming to the Virtual Console. But, early adopters will be able to download games that Nintendo doesn’t plan to make available for regular folk. These games include:
- Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3
- Mario Kart: Super Circuit
- Metroid Fusion
- WarioWare Inc.: Minigame Mania
- Mario vs. Donkey Kong
The NES games will be available for free from September 1st onwards, with the Game Boy Advance games being available before the end of the year.
