Mii Plaza is receiving an update this year. Beyond that though, Mii-based software (like a possible sequel to Find Mii) is in development. This software will be arriving during this fiscal year, which ends on March 31st 2012, and also further software beyond that time frame. Here is the full quote from Iwata:
…we are developing several software titles to take advantage of them. We will not be able to offer you the full or all the specific possibilities of the Miis stored in StreetPass Mii Plaza within this fiscal year, but we can say that you will never let your 300 Miis stored in your Nintendo 3DS go to waste, as we are preparing for a number of software titles, which will feature such as a theme, to be launched in this and the next fiscal years.
I imagine we’ll receive further clarification at the end of September (or early October) when Nintendo holds their annual press conference.

i pass 4 people a day at college. I have 76 mii’s in my plaza. :)
I have 110 people, and i live in puerto rico where the 3DS isn’t that big
I have zero people in my plaza, yet i’ve completed my first puzzle and i’m on the last ghost thingy demon battle, sometimes i hate living in a small town

I live in Richmond, VA, USA and I get 3-5 miis a month. It’s not much, but it’s worth getting out there. Hopefully there will be more people after the price drop.
I live on the east side of Puerto Rico, I’ve gotten 17 people. It’s amazing since the first 3 months I seemed to be the only person with a 3DS. Now I seem to be the only GUY with a 3DS…

What I want is games contributing clothes/parts to our miis like an acheivement system
what like the more miis you get the better and more clothes for your miis you get? if so I think its a good idea as long as you could buy clothes aswell maybe not the same clothes just so people who have no hope in getting miis via streetpass (like me :P ) could still get some clothes for their mii!

ie: Beating Master’s Quest would get you the Master Sword

I have 0 miis( besides mine) and i’ve been to a few places and passed a lot of people like wal-mart and a circus but i got no one and i’ve had mine since april.

March 31st is my bday, got a 3ds that day.
I have 3 characters in my plaza:
- Mine
- One I got from the demo station at Target. (lol)
- One I got from an ACTUAL person (Yay! ^_^))
The surprising thing is, I live near a big city and pass a lot of people everyday, yet I still manage to have only 2 from streetpass… On top of that, 1 of the 2 is from a demo station! O.O
Just wait till January; which is after Christmas, which is after the Aug. 12 price drop.

I have 2 things to say:
1: I only had tagged 2 Mii’s before I sent it into customer service so I think that Mii-based games should not make streetpass a necessity.
2: “which ends on March 31st 2012″ That’s my birthday!
