Donkey Kong Jr. and Sonic Blast coming to the eShop next week in Japan

Nintendo in Japan has announced that Donkey Kong Jr. and Sonic Blast will both be coming to the 3DS Virtual Console next week on the 18th of April. You can check for screenshots after the break.

    I’ll pass on sonic blast. The screen is always too close to sonic for you to be able to see anything correctly. Get ready to fall into pits constantly. And then it doesn’t help that the level design is crap.

      It doesn’t. When blown-up the way it is, it looks a lot worse. On a slightly smaller screen, it should look just fine.

    Should I get Sonic Blast, or Colors! 3D?

    I’m the artistic type, and an art app that uses a stylus on the 3DS would be great, considering I don’t have a wacom tablet for my computer; just a crappy trackpad and a mouse…
    But I also really like the Sonic game gear games… I’ve already played Sonic 1 GG through Sonic Adventure DX, and Sonic 2 and Sonic Triple Trouble through Sonic Gems Collection, but I never got to play Blast…

      I doubt it’s pressure sensitive so I advise you to just get the Sonic game if you really want it, and save up for a Wacom. Don’t get the newest one with the touch capabilities. I personally wouldn’t pay for that ability. :/ just get the second newest one… Intuos 4 I think?

      The first Colors! for DS hombrew had pressure-sensitive capabilites. I think Colors! 3D might as well. I mean, all DS models, including the 3DS, have pressure-sensitive touch screens.

      And I’m asking people who have already played Sonic Blast: Is it better than Colors! 3D?

      Get Colors! 3D. It doesn’t have pressure-sensitive painting, but reviews say it’s awesome, and a really get drawing tool on the go.

      Get colors 3D!. Sonic blast is probably one of the shittiest sonic games ever released. This statement comes from a fan btw.

      I have Sonic Generations 3DS. I’m very disappointed with it, and I would have would have been happier with Cave Story 3D…

    Between the prerendered CG sprites, and ‘Donkey Kong’, I thought this was going to be some version of Donkey Kong Country or DK Land. Which I really need on 3DS. DKJr I already have from Ambassador program.

    Hopefully they have something planned for DKC. If it could be done as a 3D classic, that would rock.

      Its out, but you CANT get it unless you reserved the full Kid Icarus uprising game.
      I bought the Nes remake from game stop with out the need to buy KIU.
      So check your game stop and ask.

      well you can get it at Gamestop. But only for a limited time. I’m really happy they’re doing this sort of stuff now!

    Y do they pick mostly crappy games for the eshop? Lets get some super mario rpg, or Rc pro am for christ sakes. And that was just off the top of the dome.

      Well, 3D classics are quite hard to make. More will come soon, I hope. And I hope the next one is a SNES game.

      Too bad it doesn’t need one. This was probably my least played Ambassador Game. I had it for 6 months before I deleated it, an during that time, I only played it for 30 minutes.I really want an update for the zelda games
