Donkey Kong 3D is NOT coming to the 3DS (or at least, not based on that rumor)

A rumor surfaced a few days ago that suggested that Donkey Kong 3D was coming to the 3DS based on listings at various retailers. A representative from GameStop has confirmed, however, that these were not official listings and have since been taken down. He also noted that the game is not listed in the GameStop databases in the United States. So basically, a Donkey Kong game for the 3DS is not coming to the 3DS, or at least not based on the rumour we heard. We can still hope that Nintendo is working on something though.

    I wonder who the idiot that thought it was a good idea to put fake pre-order box art in the store was…Now, I can understand Smash Bros., but even with that game, its still too early to pre-order. ITS-A-TRAP!

    fuck the DK rumor. Super Smash Bros. is in that picture. Who did this, obviously SSB will come at least at 2014 or another year but definetly not in 2012.

      HA! Exactly! They have not even started development on it yet. They are still doing research on the last game, Super smash bros. brawl.

      It’s not like researching Melee or 64 will yield better results. As they already said, they will start with Brawl but change many things from there.

      I think it’s better that way but then again I don’t believe in Tiers. Pure skill all the way!

    For those of you that are still arguing about the SSB release, its not gonna be to far down the 3DS life span. Like if the 3DS didn’t have tLoZOoT, MK7, or SM3DL to help it start up, people would just be sitting around to play their favorite game series. If it took 4+ years for the game to release, it would be roughly half way through the 3DS life span and some people would have died waiting. I know everyone’s stating their opinion on the release date, but i think imo its gonna be 2 to 3 and a half years for SSB3DS/SSBWiiU to release.

    Lego batman 2? DK 3DS? SSB4? Man, how many surprise releases is nintendo planning?
    Or realistically, how is gamestop going to sell these games before they’re announced?
    But PLEASE be true that SSB4 comes out 2012, if it was true i might die of happiness.
