Club Nintendo in North America adds new rewards for the 3DS to their catalogue

Club Nintendo in North America has added two new rewards for the 3DS to its catalogue today. The first of these rewards is the DSiware Art Academy: First Semester for the 3DS which will go for 150 Club Nintendo coins. The other reward is the previously revealed 3DS card case that can hold up to 18 games. The case will come with some replacement double sided covers and will retail for 250 coins. The DSiware game will only be available until the 29th of February. You can check after the break for screenshots of the case and its covers.

There is the Official Nintendo club magazine here but when talking about the Club nintendo Membership n Rewards… there ain’t such a thing.

I meant you can only put one cover on at a time. You can’t put Mario and the Zelda one on at the same time.
I think it should be fine- you’d just have two covers in. Shouldn’t be a problem.

My case is smaller and less cool. But at least it can hold 22 games.
Hmmm… I personally prefer soft cases for my games, so I’ll probably just get the pencil bag and put my games and AR cards in there. I’m using the foam sleeve the 3DS came in for my games and AR cards right now, and I need to get something… better.

This is the case I use. It holds as much assecories as you need, 29 games, and your 3DS. It’s soft also. I liked this case also because of the way the games are arranged inside.

Register select games on Club Nintendo.
All first party games and lots of others work.
And also all Nintnedo systems after the DS can still be added for points

Buy first party or recent third party retail titles and they should come with a code which you can use to redeem for coins. If your console it connected to your Club Nintendo account, buy titles from the Wii Shop Channel and 3DS eShop, and you will receive points.
1. Buy a game (Some games don’t have codes)
2. Log in to your account or make one
3. Enter the code in the advertisement section of the game box
4. Do the annoying survey (Hint: You can write anything when it asks you to) (Example: I write NO every time)
5. YOU SMELL SOME VICTORY CHERRIES!!!

Hm, I’m too poor to afford a tablet for my art. Maybe I can settle with the art dsi app and export my drawings to the sd card.
I’d just save my points and get Colors 3D. It’s going to be the best art app for the 3DS, and you can create cool 3D layering effects.

This is great but ill wait until the 25th anniversary zelda poster are avaliable again because i just did a quick research of the posters on ebay and it was being sold for 60 dollars and up :O damn, and also will the coins i have as of right now be considerable to make me a platinum member for this year? Even if it was some left over coins from last year?
Plat status starts over again in June, I wanna say. It runs essentially from June of one year to June of the next. If you’ve already made Plat status before the New Year, you’re Platinum until it rolls over again in June.
Just think how much one of the flawed posters will sell a couple of years from now!

Is your 3DS able to go online? If your 3DS is able to go online, then you shouldn’t ever be bored of MK7… :/
Eh, Mario Kart 7 is O.K. but it’s not the greatest. Better than the Wii version, but sucks compared to the DS version. It has it’s good spots, but a lot of bad spots… And the online is kind of eh (mostly because I constantly get blue shelled and the frikin Maka Wuhu glitch). Not really that fond of Mario Kart anyways because I prefer more realistic racing games (that DON’T favor the losers). 3DS really needs a racing sim and a good NFS or Burnout game.
MK7 online is only fun with friends, otherwise it’s just like you’re facing computers with a variety of different skill levels. I play Sonic Generations much more than this game, the levels are well made and you can try to beat your previous scores. MK7 is mostly made for playing with your friends.
So you’re telling me you can’t deal with blue shells? They don’t appear that often for one thing (but they can range from 0-4 in one match, 4 is ridiculous but rare). All you need is one of 3 things: a bullet bill (not likely), a star, or mushrooms. You can get mushrooms from 2nd all the way to 8th. It’s just like the Wii.
I have no problem maintaining first and I’m currently near 24,000vr (I’ve seen 34,000 online). It takes planning and skill to maintain first in almost every match (it’s possible). I find that intriguing, but I understand your sentiments. Here are some guidelines:
1) Go for a kart with standard, only speed (if you can handle it), or complete control stats. Speed being Heavyweight/B-Dasher/Red Monster, Complete control being lightweight/Soda Jet/Wooden Tires. (I’ve seen people maintain first with both and huge leads with the speed one)
2) Depending on the course, stay behind or ahead at the start. Maka Wuhu demands for both, not the middle. Either stay ahead or get mushrooms/star from behind. The latter is less effective when everyone is doing it so the first option is good. Luigi Raceway and Rock Rock Mountain depend on “from behind” victories with a golden mushroom or a star. Both Rainbow Roads are better if you stay in first.
3)Time trails make you better. The best records have the greatest shortcuts and pathes for first place. They also teach you the limits of your kart if you check speeds and shortcuts with different amounts of coins.
4)Mushrooms (especially triple mushrooms) are your friend. You can usually get them in 4th or lower, but they’re mostly useful if you get them in 4th or 5th. If you do get them, hang onto them and see if you can get near first without using them. Then you can use them for whatever purpose (blue shells, shortcuts, or after getting hit) and probably get 1st place.
I have plenty of more advice, but that would take a lot of room (considering this already has).
One more thing (to my comment still in moderation), computers are not as smart as human players. I don’t find it the same (if anything, it’s harder online). Especially, when you get near 12,000vr and up.
True, only people would gang up on a poor cherry smellin’ koopa by throwing shells at me constantly. (I normally get blue-shelled when I’m about to win, which loses me the race)
I don’t have any issues with speed or control. It’s just items. Without items I typically win. Also, I’ve noticed that the frequency of blue shells increases dramatically online. For whatever reason, I have a lot less issues with Mario Kart DS than 7. I do pretty good in the DS version even with items- and the levels are a lot better. The strategies you described basically make Mario Kart not a racing game (but that’s my biggest issue with it- it’s not a real racing game). It’s only really fun if you play with friends.
I’ve experienced the same problem and I perfectly agree with you, but it wouldn’t be “Mario Kart” without the items. *shrugs* Basically, what I think you’re saying is that the coins keep huge leads from happening, keeping you from first place.
Yes, this is true, it is balanced for everyone, sadly. When I think about it though, I wouldn’t appreciate it if someone got first every time flawlessly. This is why I find it intriguing, some people can still pull out in first given the situation. Not only that, but not one single kart combination can be suited for all courses. It’s only what’s best for you. (if you manage to get a lead with something with only acceleration, handling and off-road, though: the acceleration keeps you from losing)
The problem with MK DS & Wii was those leads. Either by snaking or Funky Kong (or so I’ve heard), 1st place wouldn’t lose it’s lead. Aw well, I guess it’s just personal preference, but I love MK7 the way it is, even if it’s frustrating.
I’m really OCD about organizing my games and there were four different designs, so what was the logical thing for me to do? Order 4 of them, of course! Now I can order all my 3DS games in peace. Unboxing video on my Youtube channel next week for all 4.

I guess so, but I also kind of figured I would eventually need the cases anyway. I already have 20 3DS games and the system isn’t even a year old. I just like cases, so it was worth it to me. I could understand why people would think that getting 4 is stupid, though.

Both are useless to me. I already have the cartridge of Art Academy. At the same time I bought my 3DS I bought a black 3DS case that can hold my 3DS, some styluses, my charger, and 50 games.

wish they would release more reward games like snes mario kart and majoras mask. maybe some games that haven’t aged much like super mario bros 3, or super mario world. wish they would release allstars for like, 10 or 15 bucks, don’t feel like spending 50 on the anniversary disc version which is exactly the same as the snes one released 20 years ago. that’s like repackaging megaman 8 on a disc and asking for the same price they asked for so many years ago. i apoligize for the typos if there were any, because i typed this up on a 3ds e-browser lol.
