Castlevania: Mirror of Fate was supposed to out this year, but it was delayed until 2013. Why? According to Dave Cox, a producer for the game, the developers “want to take the necessary time needed to give fans a handheld title unlike any other”. That is obviously the vague, public relations-y sort of answer, but if they are using the time to make the game better, then that’s fantastic. Part of me assumed this was more of a sales decision — the end of this year will be very competitive with the Wii U coming out, along with a bunch of big games, so it would be difficult to compete — but maybe I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.
