Capcom offers to replace misspelled cases for Resident Evil: Revelations

We reported that some of the first batch of Resident Evil: Revelations copies in North America had an error on the spine of the box. Capcom has revealed that the entire first shipment of the game will have this error. But, if you want the correct spelling, you can call 650-350-6700 or e-mail them (accounts@capcom.com) to receive a replacement case insert for your copy. It might be better though to hold onto the misspelt version. That’s a bit of history right there.

Depends on whether sealed copies are avalible or not. If there’s a lot, then it wouldn’t be worth as much. If there’s only a few, then it would be worth more- but not as much as the sealed copies.

On a related note… That’s part of why I don’t like the way that Nintendo is handling the Super Mario Bros. 25th Anniversary “Limited Edition” Super Mario All-Stars for Wii. I bought one because I thought that it might really be a collector’s item one day, but they’ve made so many that I’m not sure if it’ll ever really be worth much more than a regular Wii game. Any thoughts on that?

Yeah, Super Mario All-stars may not be worth as much as it might have been. They originally were only doing one printing (which made it more rare) but they have since done several more prints which kind of devalued it.

You can definitely sell Mercenaries. Gamestop gives (or used to) a decent amount of credit for it. The reason for the save file being permanent was actually because of the style of the game. Once something’s unlocked, it stays unlocked. All the people who complained about it either didn’t know what type of game this was or didn’t know about arcade games/how they worked.

mercenaries is a game only the person who bought it is gonna play it, its not like many people are gonna play your 3ds just to get a high score in mercenaries. it is an arcade type of game, but that is no excuse for not being able to delete your data. so what if you sell it and somebody else buys it and he wants to unlock everything and start a new game, well he cant because he cant delete the progress of the game so now the only thing he can do is play for the high score even if he might not be able to surpass it
the reason why Capcom did that was because they didn’t want anybody to buy it used, not because it was an arcade type of game

it definately comes with it’s feasible advantages. such as GPS and for cloud saving.

Also playing multilayer on the go.

You could always turn on hotspot for your phone, but that could be unsafe just like any wireless network and also drain HUGE battery off your phone, to the point where there is no point of carrying a phone with 2hr lifetime.

Also watching videos and social.

Please don’t be ignorant, 3G is no more a gimmick and 3D.

It will probably not be out by then. Just assuming, but I doubt they will have a second shipment in by then… Of course, the shipments could come weekly, but who knows?

Depends on how many copies are printed overall and how many of the games have the mistake. If they only do 1 or 2 prints, it probably won’t be worth much, unless there are very few cases with the error left. If they do several prints and the game sells very well, it could be worth something.

Also, it’s very easy to tell counterfeits from real game cases. It would likely have to be made from a scan of the original, or a low res picture on the Internet. The colors wouldn’t look the same, and it would have flaws. You’d have to have the original image (that Capcom probably has on a computer) and use the same printing process and ink.

I think it kind of sucks that they will send you a new box for the game itself but wont give people who purchased it a free 3ds case like they are offering on capcom.com if you order it from the website. I picked my copy up at Game Stop. And I payed for it long before the release date. Also I see no mention of this on capcom.com. Maybe I should call and complain, And ask for the 3ds case instead?

Also, I went to register my game at reg.capcom.com and revelations isn’t even on the list. it is 2/8/12. Just a little after midnight. Shouldn’t they have update the list by now?
