    Does anybody know if the games are gonna look like streched up like in the DSi XL? It would be painful to see games in 3D all pixlated :(

      Apparently it wont be, according to people who tried it out in person.

      If you’ve played the original DSi (not the XL version) the ppi is very close to that.

      @Matt: Yeah. Thanks to the 3DS’s fairly high resolution, the XL version won’t look too bad.

    I like how the blue is very much like the original aqua blue 3DS, I guess the red will be like that too.

      Why would they? Saying games look pixelated on the 3ds XL is also saying they look pixelated on the original Dsi (not XL).

    YAY I am look foward to buy 3DS XL! That owuld be perfect for my low vision! I cannot play normal small 3DS it’s too small for me hard for me to see but with this…would be easy for me YAY!

    I think the only thing about the 3DSXL that bothers me is that it has a regular, non telescoping, stylus. Everything else is fine. Also, DS games in native resolution on the XL is hilarious.

      Ummm, I get the impression that it’s the kids who are cursing.

      Ever play CoD multiplayer? (I have, at a friend’s house. I don’t have a modern home console) It’s always the 12yo kids who are cursing and making threats.
      Well, adults will exclaim profanity, but I’ve never encountered anyone spewing vile filth but little boys who seem to think that calling someone a fag means they win…

      I do my best to refrain from cursing in print, as there’s no “slip of the tongue” excuse. Sometimes for dramatic effect, but then it’s often censored (ie “fscking”, a *nix joke). I’m 30. I “act my age”.

      I’m just sayin’…

      the 3ds already has a camera and eshop -_- that was the whole functionality of the dsi and dsixl.

      Im waitin for the one that has a built in 2nd circle pad and zl,zr buttons, I cant name something else for it to have but something like a better camera or maybe make it a phone too, it would be awsome. Instead of phones to have game apps, a game console having a phone app, I can dream.
      Im gettin 3DSXL anyways.

    Looks great! No complaints other than the lack of a second circle pad. Everything looks much more ergonomic than the original 3DS. Better stylus placement, improved star select & home buttons, and of course those EPIC screens. Can’t wait to get my hands on one!

    Also, is it just me, or does the hinge have an extra place to lock the top screen in? At 0:36 it seems to snap into place with the screen held more upright (like in the the reveal trailer).

      its still fully portable its not like it has a gas tank and pull chord like a lawn mower :P the original Ds was way thicker too.

    I like how everyone thinks the 3DS XL’s designlooks rushed. To me, the 3DS’s design looks rushed. The 3DS looks like a toy with its’ layerd cake coloring and shiny matte finish. The XL looks awesome with its’ smooth matte finish and its rounded edges look fine too. Also, the home, start, select, and power buttons have all been fixed on the 3DS XL, and 3DS games seem to (somehow) look better on the XL.

    Oh that sucks ds games look shitty on the small screen. They should at least made it the size of the ds xl. This is a huge mistake

    The 3DS XL makes DS games larger while still being in their native resolution.. Never thought of that. That’s awesome.

    I like the look of the 3DS XL more than the look of the original 3DS but of course because I’m an early adopter and I have other stuff I need to purchase (Wii U), I can’t justify the purchase of the XL.
