Animal Crossing, Kid Icarus and Paper Mario being released during 2012 in Europe?

According to this source, we’ll have to wait until 2012 to get our hands on *Animal Crossing 3DS*, *Kid Icarus: Uprising* and *Paper Mario 3DS*. Or, at least, in Europe. Given that this year is already packed with first-party titles, it wouldn’t be too surprising for *Animal Crossing* or *Paper Mario* to come out next year. But the idea that *Kid Icarus: Uprising* won’t be out this year seems baffling. The game is still being developed, sure, but the demos at E3 were so full of content and it’s already been in development for so long.

      It was announced during the E3 conference. After the trailer, it said “later this year.”

    Kid Icarus in 2012? I don’t think so. I think it will be released in November.

      No it has to be summer, but if it is shouldn’t have they already announced if it coming out in summer because that’s when people are expecting and I would be surprised if they are releasing kid Icarus after starfox 64 3D.

    Reggie did confirmed Kid Icarus; Uprising to release later this year.

      remember what Reggie said about super smash bros brawl to be released in December? then it was released in like feb or march. i think it will be released in 2012 because they are pushing the WiFi issue out and probably working at that.

      Like Kirby5588 said… but also, don’t forget, Reggie is most likely only talking about the US release. But still I’m not exactly sure “some guy from Neogaf” who so unconvincingly claims to be “in the know” is exactly reliable source. For example… “Hey guys, my uncle works for Nintendo and he said Kid Icarus is coming out on December 25, 2011 in US.” — that could work, being a Sunday, however, the “my uncle works for Nintendo” isn’t exactly convincing… but it’s just as convincing as “claiming to be ‘in the know’”

    This is totally wrong. We pay 340 dollars for the console after all. I predict Sony crushing the 3DS with the Vita at least in here.

    Those are the exact games that would put nintendo 3DS way over the top of sales and keep it that way for a long time. That has to be dead wrong one or two of those games were listed to come out this year. I am a big nintendo 3DS fan even brought my 3DS day one but if this article is true I would see many people trading there nintendo 3DS for a vita. I won’t myself I enjoy my 3DS but other people may think other wise. I am just hoping we get that video player and media player before vita comes out as well. Nintendo is being to casual and slow with the loyal nintendo fans. I don’t like nintendo putting so much restrictions on their nintendo 3DS. Releasing a product with out all it’s key features active. At the plus side nintendo build quality is usually good. I am just saying nintendo needs to get it’s act together.

      Kid Icarus was announced for Holiday 2011 in the US, but Animal Crossing and Paper Mario were not given release dates or even a window.

      I have a feeling the Animal Crossing and Paper Mario news is true, and the Kid Icarus news is a whole lot of bull. But I could be wrong. NoE has been really good about getting their games out for the 3DS, and offering awesome bonuses that make NoA look embarassing as hale. lol.

    This would be a crying shame! There is a lack of good (really good) software since release and I havent bought a 3DS yet because of no good games so far. Im not interested in OoT and Super Mario 3DS couldbecome a disappointment as well with its short levels and the whole back-to-the-basics thing. Last hope is Mario Kart for me.

    I’m pretty sure its the same for America. When I got Zelda this weekend gamestop gave me a list of the games and their possible released dates. Paper Mario and Animal Crossing were scheduled for 1/2/12 which usually means Q1 2012.

    Too bad for Europe if this is true, but if it is true I hope it’s only Europe that’s affected. I would hate to have to wait a year to play Animal Crossing here in the U.S. and that eShop trailer for Paper Mario really got me excited to play it. >_< Reggie already confirmed Kid Icarus for this year in America so I’m not worried about that.

    Wikipedia says that Animal Crossing 3DS’s release date is TBA 2011 for everyone! Now I don’t believe them that much because there changing the release date a lot:( but they do say its coming out this year which I know its coming this year for NA but you never know what Nintendo will do:(

      That’s Wikipedia moron….that’s not a RELIABLE source…There has hardly been anything about Animal Crossing aside from a trailer, it probably won’t come out till next year so why not just be patient and enjoy the games coming out for it this year: Star Fox, Mario Kart, and probably Kid Icarus…jeez kids are so impatient these days.

    I was shocked initially by the fact that Kid Icarus wasn’t a launch title, but I don’t see why it should be delayed to 2012. It was their freaking “how-to-make-a-game-for-the-3DS game” for crying out loud!

    Actually Reggie Fils-aime said on the Jimmy Falon show, that Kid Icarus Uprising would be released this holiday.

    It made sense anyway, no one should’ve not expected this except for Icarus.
    EU gets the shaft a lot too, so there’s still a good chance Icarus comes out in JP and NA this year. If they have to delay it to add online, I’m cool with a couple of months. As is, I’m sure its going to get lost in the holiday sales shuffle anyway

    well i would not worry quite yet i mean its not close to any of those games pre detrmiend launch, am i right? so we should just try to wait… a couple of weeks, an then spaz out over when the game you want comes out, rather than wait till its close to come out from a previous quote, am i right?

    First of all, Reggie confirmed that KI would be out this holiday. Now, i know he might had just talked about the US realese, but there is no reason it would not come this year in EU. And many big titels has been realesed in EU and US about the same time (EU sometimes even gets games some days before). Also, how can this guy really know al realeses?

    As long as they don’t lie, like with what they did with the eShop, it should be fine. Or if they are going to delay it til next year, tell us in advance, and tell us straight.

    I could care less about Kid whatshisface, but Animal Crossing and Paper Mario are my biggest reasons for getting a 3DS. At least I live in the US. So there is hope for 2011 releases?! Or at least one…

      Neither were playable at E3, so I have my suspicions. With PM I think they will hold off. That is a whole lot of Mario for one year.

    Really? AC3DS on 2012? Well at least it’s in Europe. I hope they give it earlier in the U.S. I’m gonna die if I don’t have it. jk :) but I seriously can’t wait for the game. I heard it was gonna be out on August 2, 2011.. They might be making it awesome(;

    Yep, GameStop stores in America have officially pushed back the tentative release dates for Animal Crossing and Paper Mario to January. I didn’t actually check the others, but yeah. :(

    its a good idea because on youtube i saw nickelodeon wanted to be just nick in the uk so people decied to change it so david can help you guys i think :D dont worry animal crossing 3d will come out earlier.
