A few upcoming demos for North America

Nintendo revealed during the Software Showcase event that there will be a few demos coming to the eShop in North America. The list of demos includes:

  • Kingdom Hearts 3D
  • The Amazing Spider-Man
  • Rhythm Thief & The Emperor’s Treasure
  • Heroes of Ruin (which Europe received today)

No specific dates were given for the demos, but it won’t be long before we hear something about them.

      Sorry that this is unrelated to your comment, but has anyone noticed that a new Art of Balance game was released on the eShop? It’s called Art of Balance TOUCH! (exclamation point and caps part of the name.) I hadn’t seen any news about it, and I’m a pretty avid follower of this blog and 3ds news in general… Did you guys know about it?!

    The KH3D demo must come next week here in Europe. The releases here on 20th.

      It comes out /July/ 20th in Europe, not June 20th. It’ll come out next month most likely.

    Was anyone else horribly disappointed by the lego batman demo? The sound was tinny ( many ds games provided much better sound than that ) the controls felt loose , the puzzles felt insultingly easy , and the graphics were a step down from previous portable lego games. I was filled with hope after Lego Pirates ( near console quality ) but this one seems a step back , I’ll probably buy Lego LOTR just because I’m a massive LOTR fanboy , but I hope the quality shoots back up a good bit for that one.

      It was alright. I didn’t expect much at all. At first I was like, “Wow, this is bad” but it got better. The demo will probably hurt the sales if anything.

      Hey don’t knock it quite yet, they could very well have compressed audio + textures for the sake of space. The 3DS demands a good amount of data for all of its downloadables, I doubt Lego wanted people to have to clear significant space to try out their game ( let alone most marketing-wise company ).

      And **** all that, the demo is fun enough.

    Why does Nintendo not release demos for first party titles? Three levels of Super Mario 3D Land would be easy to release.

    Europe’s had the Rhythm Thief demo for ages, and we got the HoR demo today.

      How is Heroes of Ruin, I have been waiting for that one for ages. We will get it later in North America but I’m very curious.

    Looking forward to the Spiderman demo, and dying for the Heroes of Ruin demo. I’ll probably play the Kingdom Hearts one, and probably won’t even touch Rhythm Thief.

    Not gonna lie, Rythm Theif looks disappointing in almost every way, the animation sucks so hard, along with the gameplay.

    Heroes of ruin demo sucks arse to be honest I had high hopes for it but now that I’ve played it, it’s just so meh

      I am in the opposite camp.

      I thought this game sucks compared to Diablo 3, but after playing the demo I like it. Graphics is clean, no aliasing sparkling jungle special effects of MGS. Voice is disabled in the demo, I am keen to try this out in the full version. Audio is pretty decent, has surround sound effects.

      This is like Diablo lite, I have fun playing it. I will buy this game.

      are you serious!? if so, i’ll just close my 3ds while i’m in the demo and never play another game (and never turn it off)

    The HoR demo has online one mission though pretty short and you can only play it 6 times! The game itself looks good though! ^__^

    Bought Rhythm Thief today for $28…its really a mixed of Professor Layton and Rhythm/Wario ware game. Its quite good 8/10

    Downloaded Heroes of Ruin demo…played it a bit,,,graphics is good(must be played with 3D on) ,lots of touches to the environment even with the limited hardware of 3DS. nspace put alot of work into this game. Its Diablo for 3DS :)

    Yesterday I played the Heroes of Ruins demo for an hour. It’s awesome! The only thing concerning me is that you don’t have a very good overview on the environments and you can only boot the demo six times. Buuuuut you can play online! :D
