A few more details from Kingdom Hearts 3D (and some screenshots)

According to Famitsu, when you change between Sora and Riku in Kingdom Hearts 3D is determined through the “Drop Gauge”. The “Drop Gauge” depletes over time, but it can also be drained manually. Once the “Drop Gauge” is empty, you’ll switch to the opposite character. You are also able to obtain temporary increases in powers for the incoming character, new commands, and items during the switch.

Famitsu also went into detail on the the Dream Eater creation process. Dream Eaters that are created through the recipe process (talked about here) can be made stronger using special items and you’ll even be able to give them names. The new “Ability Link System” will also allow you to use Link Points to unlock new abilities for your Dream Eater and for yourself. There are new screenshots after the break.

    It’s so much better if you’ve actually played all the games so you know the whole story, but at least I think there’s a part in a game where it gives you an e-x-t-r-e-m-e-l-y light summary on the things that happened in the other games.

    why does soras face looks like kh 2 in the picture with riku but on the other ones they look like kh1????

      If you looked into any of the KH: DDD news, you should know that they’re in deep sleep (aka dreaming). So anything can happen, meaning Sora and Riku somehow represent or take form of they’re younger selves while sleeping.

      Sora & Riku appear in their KH2 clothes in that pic because that’s before they go into the Realm of Sleep to take their Mark of Mastery exam. Once they do, their appearances change and they take on their younger looks.

    This game is looking graphically better than KH 1 & 2, IMO. And the Dream Eater upgrade system seems similar to XIII-2′s monster upgrade system.

      I wonder if I can put a top hat and a monocle on the dog/balloon/thing.

    So….Why is there a column of a game like this but no column for Mario Tennis Open, Luigi’s Mansion 2, or Paper Mario 3DS.

    News or not, They are the more “Important” games.

      I think it’s because David secretly despises those series with blinding fury!

      … Or there hasn’t been much news to cover on them lately (or any news at all). If you haven’t noticed, all the “columns” have at least 8 topics in their categories. I believe Luigi’s Mansion 2 has only about 3-5 topics.

      Sorry, but a Kingdom Hearts game is far more important than a Mario Tennis game.

      Actually, more people would probably agree with me that JRPG with a really good story is more important than some Mario/Luigi spinoffs that people buy just because they have Mario/Luigi in them.

      The only reason im getting a 3DS is for Kingdom Hearts…so i would get KH over a mario game any day (but mario games are fun also).

      Right… because spin-off Mario games are so much better than a main KH game, and are therefore more important and should be reported on even when there’s no news for them. Because no one cares about this game, right?

      As much as I like Mario games, Kingdom Hearts is an important game too. Especially one designed for the 3DS. And you should know that this is a 3DS blog for any kind of DS and 3DS news. Not one specifically for Mario games.

      Dude, if you’re thinking about the whole Hannah Montana or High School Musical kind of Disney, that’s NOT it!

      This one features the classic Disney! The ones that were hot and still are hot. You should at least try it. Five minutes gameplay is all you need and you’ll be won over :)

      Dude, if you wanna compare what’s crap and what’s not crap, Mario Tennis is CRAP. Why? Because it’s repetitive and it doesn’t have a buckload of fresh features like KH!

      And yes, that’s coming from me, a Mario fan! Who LIKES Mario Tennis! And played BOTH Mario Tennis and Kingdom Hearts!

      That’s not Zexion – that’s Ienzo, his original self. In the pic wth him lying on the floor, he probably just came back from the Realm of Darkness, having just been returned to his initial being after his Nobody was defeated in CoM.

    Ah, Kingdom Hearts, the PS2 game which story never made any sense, but somehow it never mattered because the game is so awesome. I have a feeling DDD 3D will be the same way.

    Wait is that last pic with the organization members where they return to there original selves. Because it looks like it is considering Aeleus is trying to get up it looks like even (Vexen)Even and (Xaldin)Dilan are back then.

    So all of the founding members of the organization are back along with (Axel)Lea.

    The only question remains is that are Saix(Isa) and the others like 9-12 are back? I seriously think Isa is going to return as well but will be with Xehenort and Lea will try to convince him to join their side.
